Rhynocoris iracundus is a species of assassin and thread-legged bugs belonging to the family Reduviidae, subfamily Harpactorinae.
R. iracundus differs from R. erythropus for the sides of the abdomen yellow/orange and black instead of red and black. In general, the front lobe of pronotum of R. iracundus is broadly blackened, while in R. rubricus is red. Furthermore R. iracundus has less wide red stripes in legs and abdomen. The base of scutellum is twice as long as the height.
This species is found in most continental Europe.
